Is it just a stereotype, or are men more reluctant than women to seeking outside help for issues in their marriages?
If so why do you think this is the case?
1. Men don’t like ‘others’ to see that they may be having problems.
2. Men think that it is sign of weakness to ask for help.
3. If a man doesn’t want to talk it over with his wife why would he talk it over with any one else?
4. Men are afraid that the counsellor will take sides and he may be unfairly portrayed as the ‘bad guy’?
5. Men are confident that the issues will work themselves out.
Do you think that men would be more comfortable with online counselling?
