A Positive Divorce Recovery Book for Your Website Members
Hi,
I know that you finding some good info in the book reviewed in the earlier posts, but I was hoping you might also have some interest in my book too as another source of help. I can offer you DOUBLE the book discounts I have below as a trial for you and your members.
I am a local author in Canton/Akron, Ohio and have just published, last October 2008, a book on divorce recovery called “Yes, There Is an Upside of Divorce, It Can Be Your Second Chance at Life!” You can search “upside of divorce” on Amazon and read the great reviews I have there. One of my top 5-Star ratings is from Tracy, who is the owner of a national web support group called Woman’s Divorce (com) and has used parts of my chapters for her members going through divorce.
I have sold over ninety copies locally and received the same great feedback, including some to the Church of New Hope in Stow, Ohio for their divorce support group.
I have also sold three copies to our Stark County Libraries for circulation here in Canton.
I am hoping you may want to buy some copies too to provide some other good help and support to your divorced members. And perhaps they may want to buy their own copy as well.
My book has a more positive approach to divorce recovery and also goes further about how to make a happier and more enjoyable life after divorce.
For just $12 or so, my book could be another reference book or a gift of help from you to your members suffering through their divorce or separation.
Book Discounts are available on my own website, Self-Help-Products-and-Services (com) where you can save $2 to $5 off Amazon’s costs per book.
I’m hoping you might try a couple books and see what your members say about it. I’m sure most, if not all of them, will find some good help in my book.
My ISBN is 978-1-4196-9304-5. I also have a workbook version that could be used for support groups and have other information and a photo of my book if you are interested.
If there are other people you think I should contact or those who may want to contact me, please let me know.
.
Thanks for your consideration here.

When I found myself suddenly [and unexpectedly] a single mom with six children, panic set in. Seriously.
I ordered quite a lot of divorce books in an effort to learn what I needed to do to survive in this strange new world I’d woken up in.
This book was by far the most helpful one. The authors shared stories of other divorced people that I could relate to. They helped me understand what was normal [and that feeling like I felt WAS, indeed, normal]. They gave very concrete and helpful advice on how to “Move Forward” – it was so positive and it really helped me pick myself up and get moving towards healing and a brand new life.
I credit this book with helping me move beyond despair and broken-heartedness and towards happiness and hope.
The constructive ideas in this book not only helped me help myself, but really helped me help my children as well – they benefitted from this book at least as much as I did. Quite a lot of this book is devoted to helping divorced people who are also parents, and I found that extremely beneficial.
For someone going through a divorce who does not have children, this book may not be as helpful – quite a bit of it really is focused on parenting well through divorce. This book is also written from a strong Christian perspective and may not be helpful to those who are not from a Christian belief system.
But for newly single Christian parents – you can’t find a better book. Buy this book – you won’t be sorry. In fact, I’d really like to thank the authors – you changed my life for the better with this truly helpful book. You helped me survive the worst time in my life and to move forward and thrive. Thank you so much.

I loved this book, which I read during the difficult transition period after my rather traumatic divorce. It’s practical, warm, and encouraging, as well as very thorough. One thing to be aware is that it strongly promotes joining a church and working on one’s faith, but I still found that in general the advice here was right on target. Thank you, Dr. and Dr. Frisbie!

I thought that this book was extremely helpful. There were tips and encouraging words that could only be helpful to people who lived through a divorce and were having a tough time dealing with the aftermath. My wish would be that BOTH parents would read this book. It would only help the ex-couple and their children. Good Job!

I found this book while attending a divorce-recovery group at church. The authors spoke at a seminar at our church; I wasn’t able to attend but my friends said it was excellent and extremely interesting.
Our group used this book as the “study book” for our group times, and what’s fun is that everyone actually DID THEIR READING. I’ve been in a lot of groups where people kind of skim over things and skip sections, but this book reads easily and keeps you paying attention. Fun, funny, and also very real. It is obvious that these authors understand what we’re going through.
I am now remarried but I still turn to this book sometimes, especially the section about parenting. This book’s chapter on parenting is the best advice I’ve seen anywhere about how to raise your kids — and it’s hidden away here in a divorce book!! I was surprised but glad to find it.
GREAT divorce book; best one I’ve read (I’ve read 10 or 12 titles.)

As a divorced mom, single parent, mother of two — I read a lot. This new book has already changed the way I’m parenting my boys — who are just now emerging into their teen years. Great parenting tips! This is one of the most positive, encouraging, “real life” books I’ve discovered. Extremely useful for anyone who is in their first 3-5 years after a divorce. Very well done!
